The upper secondary school that combines new ideas with old traditions

The school has about 900 students (referred to as "Karropiltar" or simply "piltar") and 100 staff.

Swedish students leaving the nine-year compulsory school can choose among 17 national programmes within the upper secondary school system, most of the three-year programmes. Karolinska skolan offers four of these programmes: The Natural Science Programme, the Social Science Programme, the Arts Programme and the Individual Programme.
